Hawkeye Poster Strings Clint, Kate Bishop & Lucky in Christmas Lights

The latest poster for Marvel's Hawkeye dives into the holiday season by surrounding its main characters with Christmas lights. Starting this Wednesday on Disney+, Hawkeye gives Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) his first-ever MCU solo project. The 6-episode series picks up following the events of Avengers: Endgame, which saw Clint briefly dip his toe into vigilantism before helping to bring his family and half the universe back to life. Now that the Barton family has been restored, Clint is ready to spend time with everyone as the holidays get underway; Hawkeye gets the distinction of being the MCU's first official holiday project.

However, the festivities are soon disrupted by the arrival of one Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld), who has been drawing attention to herself by dressing up as Clint's vigilante persona Ronin. As Clint gets entangled with Kate's problems, the question facing Hawkeye then becomes whether the archer will ever make it back to his family in time to celebrate Christmas. Hawkeye also features the talents of Florence Pugh, Alaqua Cox (set to receive her own spin-off), and Vera Farmiga as Kate's mother.

With only days to go before Hawkeye's two-episode premiere, it's time for the final marketing push. On social media, Marvel unveiled a new Hawkeye poster that really leans into the holiday spirit with some snowflakes and colorful string lights. Clint, Kate, and everyone's soon-to-be-favorite pup Lucky the Pizza Dog pose amid the festive poster, which was designed by Adam Rabalais. Check it out down below.

Before Hawkeye, only Iron Man 3 touched upon the holiday season as it stands within the MCU. There's much excitement in seeing the mega-franchise offer its own end-of-year special event, and it even adds to the personal stakes of the story. After spending five years without his family, Clint is eager to celebrate with his wife and kids. However, his new partnership with Kate brings obstacles, and only Hawkeye's conclusion in December will reveal whether he ever makes it home.

Like the previous Marvel Disney+ shows, Hawkeye feels very different from what came before, and that makes it an intriguing prospect. After the high-stakes adventures of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Loki, this series has the opportunity to ease up on the typical world-ending drama that often faces the MCU. The early reactions to Hawkeye have all praised its holiday feel and street-level story, so fans just might have a lot to look forward to. It all begins in just a few days.
