The Real Housewives of New York City star Luann de Lesseps reveals that she got along the least with costar Ramona Singer during the filming of a Real Housewives franchise spin-off The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. Luann recently opened up about her experience on the Peacock special. The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip features an all-star cast of Real Housewives including Kyle Richards, Kenya Moore, Cynthia Bailey, as well as Melissa Gorga, and Teresa Giudice.
Luann first appeared on The Real Housewives of New York City season 1 in 2008 alongside co-star Ramona singer. Luann and Ramona haven't ever seemed to see eye to eye during their time on the show together. In the past, Ramona has claimed that Luann behaved in a self-centered manner, and Luann has expressed that she feels Ramona has been judgmental towards her in regards to her marriage.
Recently, Luann opened up about her time filming The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. On Thursday, Luann told E! News’s Daily Pop that she had a positive experience on the show overall. However, Luann did clash with at least one co-star. Luann says she “had the most conflict with Ramona." She also adds that she was “surprised” to have experienced friction with a star that she has been working with for so long, rather than the girls she had not yet gotten to know, saying “I was expecting it to come from somewhere else but it was home base.” In regards to how she got along with her other co-stars on the trip, Luann says “it was so much fun. It’s so different from housewives shows in general because you kind of get a peek behind the scenes as to what life is really like being on the shows.” Luann claimed she expected to have issues with co-star Kenya Moore based on rumors she'd heard about her in the past, but was "pleasantly surprised" to learn that would not be the case. Luann expressed that she is grateful to Kenya for backing her up during issues with Ramona because it provided her with a sense of clarity in regards to some of Ramona’s familiar behavior. Luann says “it was great because I saw a different perspective because I’m so used to Ramona and then I saw the women’s reactions to her and it was like oh maybe she shouldn’t be getting away with all of this ‘I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry.'”
Luann says that dinner with The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip stars has been calmer than some of her past on-screen dinners, as she is sober and believes stars on The Real Housewives of Atlanta and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills drink less than some of their New York counterparts. Luann and her co-stars discussed their family and work lives with each other, saying "we're mothers. We're juggling things, we're juggling our lives you know everybody's got their busy schedules." Luann mentions that co-star Kyle Richards has been busy filming Halloween Kills. As for what exactly has been keeping Luann busy, she notes that she has been dating but has mostly kept her focus on her recent cabaret show. Though she says she loves her show and "can't wait to perform live again," she also says she's a "hopeless" romantic and may want to get married again someday.
While Luann claimed to be caught off guard by her continuing drama with Ramona, fans of The Real Housewives of New York City who recall the history between the two may not be as surprised. As for whether or not Luann butted heads with any of her other phenomenal co-stars on The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, fans will have to take Luann's word regarding the lack of tension until the show airs. Regardless of who is fighting with who, one thing that remains the most certain about the upcoming special is that its premiere will be a night to remember.
