RHOM: Revival Cast Includes First Openly Gay Housewife Julia Lemigova

The revival cast for The Real Housewives of Miami has been unveiled and is adding a history-making new figure. As expected, OG housewives Alexia Echevarria and Larsa Pippen are returning as well as veteran cast members Lisa Hochstein and friends Adriana de Moura and Marysol Patton. The jam-packed lineup includes four newcomers, one of whom is the first openly gay housewife in Housewives history. The full cast appears to be more than enough ladies to bring the drama and reel in the viewers following an eight-year hiatus.

Over the summer, reports and photos followed filming for RHOM's return. Housewives fans have been anticipating the revival of the show that originally aired on Bravo for just three seasons from 2011 to 2013. Now set to premiere on Peacock, RHOM is back with a cast full of old and new faces. When fans last watched the show, RHOM consisted of Lea Black, Adriana de Moura, Alexia Echevarria, Lisa Hochstein, and Joanna Krupa. At the time, Joanna and Adriana were locked in a messy feud while planning for their rival weddings.

Now viewers are eager to find out what to expect after details were released about the official cast. On Friday, Peacock unveiled the names of the revival cast ahead of the show's December premiere. Returning to the show are OGs Alexia Echevarria, and Larsa Pippen, veteran Housewives Lisa Hochstein, Adriana de Moura, and Marysol Patton, People reports. Marysol will return as a friend of the Housewives alongside the show's new friend Kiki Barth. Additionally, three more newcomers were added to the mix by the names of Guerdy Abraira, Julia Lemigova and Dr. Nicole Martin. Julia will be breaking a major glass ceiling within the Housewives franchise by appearing as the first openly gay housewife.

Julia is a former model who married her long-time partner Martina Navratilova, a professional tennis player, in December 2014. The ladies spent the summer months filming in Miami and at events in New York. Lisa will likely have to open up about her husband's current legal woes. Dr. Leonard Hochstein has been locked in a malpractice lawsuit with two of his former patients, including Luz Del Alba, who went to the RHOM star for a thigh and arm lift that required liposuction. However, Luz claims she walked away with open wounds and “significant limitation” in her arms. Lisa's husband, who she self-proclaimed as the "Boob God", has fired off his own lawsuits.

But shortly after being sued by Luz, the Miami plastic surgeon was sued by another former patient who wants $50,000 for an  "improper surgical technique" while performing a thigh lift. Jennifer Geci filed a suit in August claiming that a plastic surgery procedure from Leonard left her with an "injury in and around the groin and labia," which caused "altered and deformed genitalia." Lisa learned of the lawsuits while filming The Real Housewives of Miami and is expected to address it on the show. Alexia also suffered a tragic loss over the summer when her mother passed away on the day of her wedding. The trauma and drama within the cast while production was underway is sure to make the revival an interesting one.
