Tom Holland’s Spider-Man Hitches A Ride From Ned In Car Commercial

Tom Holland's Spider-Man hitches a ride from Ned (Jacob Batalon) in a Spider-Man: No Way Home car commercial. In the upcoming Marvel Cinematic universe movie, Holland suits up for his sixth overall appearance as the web-slinging superhero and his third solo outing as Peter Parker alongside his Midtown high school classmates, like his love interest MJ (Zendaya) and his best friend Ned Leeds. Other returning classmates include Flash Thompson (Tony Revolori), Betty Brant (Angourie Rice), and Jason Ionello (Jorge Lendeborg Jr.).

No Way Home appears to pick up immediately in the aftermath of Far From Home's mid-credits scene after Peter Parker's secret identity was revealed to the world by Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) and J. Jonah Jameson's (J.K. Simmons) doing. Wanting to return to his normal life, Peter turns to Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and urges him to cast a spell to make everyone forget he's Spider-Man, which ends up going horribly wrong and accidentally breaks opens the multiverse, allowing Doc Ock (Alfred Molina), Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe), Electro (Jamie Foxx), Sandman (Thomas Haden Church), and Lizard (Rhys Ifans) to enter the MCU.

For Spider-Man: No Way Home, Marvel Studios and Hyundai will be continuing their partnership, which has produced an interesting crossover promo called Only Way Home. The commercial, which runs for a minute and a half, opens with Peter hiding out in a motel room watching Jameson's broadcast declaring him a criminal before he hops up and declares, "It's time to clear my name." After suiting up as Spider-Man, an anti-climatic twist reveals he's actually in the middle of nowhere, with no tall buildings to swing from. Watch the new ad below:

After walking the country road for a bit and shooting a web at a scarecrow resembling Mysterio, Spider-Man hitches a ride from Ned in an all-electric Hyundai IONIQ 5. This Hyundai model will actually be featured in the upcoming film. In a nod to No Way Home's plot, Peter sets the vehicle's GPS to 177A Bleecker Street, the address of Dr. Stephen Strange's Sanctum Sanctorum, where Peter will be headed at some point early on in the movie.

While this promo is obviously not MCU canon, it is still directed by No Way Home helmer Jon Watts and features several tie-ins to the upcoming movie as it essentially acts as a bizarre alternate opening. The inclusion of Mysterio is also sure to rouse suspicions about his return, rounding out the film's Sinister Six lineup. At this point, fans will likely take any type of Spider-Man: No Way Home content to help satiate their appetites for the highly anticipated MCU movie.
