Pedro Pascal Has Hilarious Reaction To Din Djarin Mandalorian Figure

The Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal has a hilarious reaction to a collectible version of his character, Din Djarin. Pascal plays the titular bounty hunter in the Disney+ Star Wars series, which has garnered significant acclaim from both critics and fans over its first two seasons. The Mandalorian season 3 is in production and has no official release date, but is expected to begin airing sometime in 2022.

The show's premise sees Pascal's Din Djarin accept a contract to retrieve the young creature later revealed to be Grogu, a member of Yoda's rare, force-sensitive species, only to turn on his employer. The two embark on a quest to return Grogu to his people and develop a close bond along the way, to the point that the Mandalorian is no longer certain he wishes to part with him. However, in the season 2 finale, Din Djarin hands the Child over to Luke Skywalker so he can continue his Jedi training, leaving fans uncertain of what the future direction of the show will be.

With the series only growing in popularity, Pascal's protagonist has been recreated in the form of a detailed Hot Toys collectible, and The Mandalorian star likes what he sees. Sharing an image of the figurine, which depicts a season 2 version of Din Djarin with his helmet removed, he gives it his official stamp of approval by simply declaring it "dope." He then acknowledges that, at 46 years of age, he might have overstepped in his usage of the slang term. Check out his original tweet below:

Though The Mandalorian premiered back in 2019, opportunities to recreate a version of Din Djarin that is recognizably Pascal have been sparse, as much was made of the character's religion prohibiting him from showing his face to another. In season 2, however, he chooses to remove his helmet in front of several people to say a proper goodbye to Grogu, suggesting he could be in for more face-time in season 3. Along with the Child tucked safely in a bag at his hip, the collectible also includes the beskar spear the character gains after teaming up with the rogue Jedi Ahsoka in one of the show's most memorable episodes.

While it's nice to see Pascal engaging with his action-figure level of Star Wars fame, his post is only likely to make fans more desperate to see more of The Mandalorian, with the season 2 finale having aired almost a full year ago. Luckily, Disney's expanded focus on Star Wars TV shows means they will have a full season of The Book of Boba Fett to tide them over, with episode 1 set to premiere on December 29. Given how prominently Boba Fett featured in The Mandalorian before acquiring his own project, there's always a chance that Din Djarin comes to visit him at what's left of Jabba's palace.
