While the trailers for House of Gucci prove Gaga's superb acting, the film received negative remarks from members of the Gucci family. In particular, Reggiani expressed her annoyance that Gaga did not meet with her prior to filming the biopic. Additionally, Maurizio Gucci's cousin Patricia commented that the clan was "truly disappointed" by the movie's inaccuracies. She threatened that the Gucci family will be taking legal action once they'd seen the movie.
Despite these dismissive remarks from the real people the movie is based on, House of Gucci is one of the most anticipated films to premiere this month. With Ridley Scott at the helm and a pool of A-listers for its cast, it's safe to assume that the movie will prove a hit rather than a miss. There's a lot to digest from the trailers alone: romance, betrayal, heartbreak, and revenge woven in between glossy fashion shows and opulent sceneries. As for Lady Gaga, she is poised to deliver another riveting performance with her impeccable transformation and unmistakable Italian accent.
