Warning! This post contains spoilers for Eternals

Kingo's valet Karun, played by Harish Patel, receives his own character poster to celebrate the release of EternalsThe newest Marvel Cinematic Universe installment hit theatres last week and was met with an incredibly mixed response from critics and audiences alike. The movie features a stacked cast that includes the likes of Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, Angelina Jolie, Kumail Nanjiani, and Salma Hayek, alongside a stand-out supporting cast that also welcomes Barry Keoghan, Lia McHugh, Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren Ridloff, Don Lee, Kit Harington, and Patel to the MCU.

Chloé Zhao's Marvel debut spans across 7,000 years, though the main plot of the film takes place in the modern day and sees the Eternalsled by Gemma Chan's Sersi, attempt to stop the emergence of the Celestial Tiamut, whose birth would come at the cost of Earth's total destruction. Prior to the film's events, the Eternals had gone their separate ways to spend time on Earth living "human" lives, with Nanjiani's character, Kingo, going on to become a famous Bollywood star, with his trusted valet always at his side to assist him. With Kingo then joining his fellow immortal beings on their journey to round up the remaining Eternals, Karun comes along for the ride as his boss' cameraman to document the journey.

Now, the Eternals Twitter account gives Karun the star character treatment he deserves by featuring him in his own character poster. The exciting new image shows a closeup of Patel and was released as part of a series of stunning posters that showcase each member of the Eternals cast. While the central heroes received theirs before the film hit theaters, Karun and Harington's Dane Whitman only just joined the series. Karun is certainly one of the stand-out members of the ensemble cast, stealing almost every scene he features in. The character provides comic relief throughout the somewhat lore-heavy story and is instantly lovable due to his willingness to assist Kingo, no matter the circumstance. He is also crucial to the film's thematic exploration of superheroes as gods among mortals, with Patel's performance providing much-needed contrast to those of the actors playing undying beings.

With the confirmation that the Eternals will be returning, albeit in a currently unknown capacity, it will certainly be exciting to see what the future holds for Karun and whether he will remain as Kingo's valet after the crazy things he has witnessed by his side so far. Patel's memorable performance as the valet has quickly become a fan-favorite for those who have seen the film, with many calling for him to become a recurring character within the MCU. As Eternals continues its theatrical run, it remains to be seen what's next for this character.
