Halo Infinite Shock Chain Guide: How it Works & Where to Find it

In Halo Infinite, there are plenty of ways to knock the competition out of the water, but getting the shock chain to work is a new level of satisfaction on its own. There are snipes, explosions, and melee kills that are nice, but nothing matches the ability to kill an enemy via association. A shock chain says it in the name where chaining a shock from one player to the other is the ultimate goal and necessary to get the "Watt Say You?" achievement in Halo Infinite multiplayer.

Getting a kill using the chain reaction for the "Watt Say You?" achievement in Halo Infinite can get maddening. First, getting the gun itself is a challenge, and the other part is finding a great map to maximize opportunities to unlock the achievement. A great map option is Highpower, especially on the Total Control playlist, where most players will gravitate near the center of the map, which gives lots of kill opportunities. Another aspect that can tip the scales in getting the achievement is to go up against bots as they can be a bit more predictable.

The Shock Rifle is the best way to get a chain reaction done in Halo Infinite for the "Watt Say You?" achievement. A big reason it's the best weapon is that the electricity arcs from it can get unpredictable. Using something else, such as the Dynamo Grenade, takes the uncertainty up a notch. Picking a Shock Rifle up is difficult as the spawning of the gun is rare, and others can pick up the gun. Another significant point is that the weapon will either be a Stalker Rifle or a Shock Rifle at the spawn points. If a weapon gets spawned on one spawn point, it will not generate the other, meaning players will have to go to another match or spawn point to get the Shock Rifle.

Here is a list of the best spawn locations for the Shock Rifle in Multiplayer:

  • Aquarius: There are two spawn locations. The first is at Blue Base, going down and left with the second location down and right from Yellow Base.
  • Deadlock: On the back and to the left of the spawn points on both Low and High Bases.
  • Fragmentation: The weapon spawn is on the left side of either starting location at the jump pad.
  • Highpower: There are multiple spawns here, with the first two behind the landing pad of either starting base, the next is in the middle area on the right side from the Tower Base location, and the last spot is in the Cave Pit.
  • Launch Site: On the left side of the Bunker Nest from the capture team's beginning location.
  • Streets: Found on the balcony at the Subway

Getting the "Watt Say You?" Achievement in Halo Infinite is tricky, although there is a simple way to get it. Getting a lot of enemies in the same area, as mentioned before, and bringing an Assault Rifle will do wonders. Straightforwardly, knock down a few shields with the Assault Rifle and switch to the Shock Rifle. Hitting the primary target's friend will get the Shock Rifle's Arc to hit the first enemy and then bounce to the next one with the shield down. If players are not finding success with the above method, throw a gun on the ground next to the enemies and fire at it, which will also cause the arcs that can hit the enemies. Another way that is an entirely out-of-the-box, or vehicle, in this case, is to attack a vehicle with the Shock Rifle, which will also damage the enemies inside of it. The "Watt Say You?" achievement will trigger if the enemies inside the vehicle die. At any point, if players feel they are in a sticky situation, they can always use the Grapple Shot to get away from a group of enemies.
