Halo Infinite Bots Hint At DLC Armor Not Shown In The Battle Pass

The release of the Halo Infinite multiplayer included the season one Battle Pass, but armor found only on bots hints at potential DLC to come soon. Being able to play multiplayer also included private lobbies where matches can be set up among players and bots alike. Halo Infinite custom lobbies also allow players to create free-for-all matches entirely made up of bots.

Bots are a common feature in many first-person shooters, and in most cases, there isn't anything particularly special about them. However, Halo Infinite'bots are unique because they appear to have randomly generated armor customizations, and one bot, in particular, has armor that isn't shown in the Battle Pass. This suggests that DLC, either in the form of a free update or paid content, will be in Halo Infinite's future. Of course, more content will be released as well once Halo Infinite multiplayer and campaign are fully released, but the strangest part about a particular bot having armor is that it isn't shown in the Battle Pass or in the Armor Core customization.

The photo featured at the beginning of the article is of a bot named "343 Rhinosaurus." What stands out among this bot is that it has a left and right variation of the Emile shoulders, and an Emile knife on the chest plate. The helmet appears to be Recon with some hazardous protection attachment at the base. None of these armor pieces are particularly new to Halo at large, however, these armor pieces aren't shown in the Mark VII or Mark V [B] Armor Cores or the Halo Infinite Battle Pass. The closest item that resembles what the 343 bot is wearing is the Emile armor kit that can be unlocked at level 95 in the Battle Pass, but armor kits can't be customized.

Additionally, a Reddit user named AlexReactor also picked up on a Spartan bot that had cat ears, and was named "Meowlnir." Comments on the post about Meowlnir further showed that other players have also seen uniquely designed Spartan bots in Halo Infinite, such as a bot with deer antlers and other mixed and matched armor that players are unable to use. It's important to remember that even though the Halo Infinite multiplayer is live, it's still in beta, so there are likely many more features that will be available for players at the full launch than there are now.

Halo Infinite looks like it will be receiving some major updates to its armor system as the launch date for the campaign draws closer. Whether these updates come in the form of updates, DLC, or additions to the Battle Pass is unknown, but it can't be denied that armor customization options are being kept from players in Halo Infinite's multiplayer beta. With any luck, these armor pieces will soon be in the hands of players, instead of wasted on Halo Infinite's bots.
