The Happy Home Paradise DLC in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is full of new places to explore, and uses a new currency called Poki. It is essentially an entirely new game added within Animal Crossing, which also has its 2.0 update available for everyone, even going so far as to put the new content on an island separate from the rest of the game.
Poki can only be used on Paradise Planning Island, where Bells are not accepted. The same in the inverse, with Bells being the only currency accepted on players' home islands. While this may make it seem like players are going to be fighting an uphill battle to acquire an all-new currency, Poki isn't too difficult to get as long as players spend time working through the new content in Happy Home Paradise.
The primary reason for visiting Paradise Planning Island in Animal Crossing is to design vacation homes for Lottie and her clients. The lion's share of the content in the Happy Home Paradise DLC lies in designing vacation homes and businesses on the island. Naturally, this means that Poki is going to be inexorably tied to performing these tasks. The more work done throughout the Animal Crossing DLC, the more Poki will be available to the player.
The easiest way to make more Poki in Animal Crossing is by designing vacation homes. Every time players design a new home, they will be paid thousands of Poki at a time, usually around 6,000-9,000. All they have to do is finish the design, and go see Lottie at the office to get paid. While some of the things that players can buy with Poki may take a while to save for, it never feels like a grind, since the fun of the game is getting to design so many different vacation homes. Players will steadily acquire a pretty hefty amount of Poki.
Poki is used primarily to buy decorations, furniture, and souvenirs for the Happy Homes office in Animal Crossing. There are a ton of little knick-knacks available for the office, so getting all of the Poki they can is a good idea for players looking to decorate their workspace. Getting to work and designing homes is the best way for players to personalize their workspace, and experience everything that Animal Crossing: New Horizons' Happy Home Paradise DLC has to offer.
