The 90 Day Fiancé star Armando Rubio explained how his pregnant ex-wife died in a car crash because he thinks a few fans are confused about her death. Armando and the Florida native Kenneth Niedermeier are the most loved first gay couple on the show. The couple first met through a Facebook group for gay dads and eventually fell in love. Soon, Kenneth decided to move to Mexico to be with Armando, but it wasn't an easy transition for him. He didn't know the local language, Spanish, and disliked that most Mexicans didn't respect gay men. But he has now adjusted well to the new city.
Many 90 Day Fiancé fans may know that Armando was married to a woman for eight years before getting into a relationship with Kenneth. The couple even had a daughter, Hannah, who is now 8 years old. A few years ago, Armando decided to embrace his sexuality. He told his wife that he was gay, and the couple separated. He didn't want to get into details of his ex-wife's death on the show, but it now seems like some 90 Day Fiancé fans are confused about what exactly happened to his wife.
Armando posted an Instagram story to share how his ex died. The 32-year-old Mexican native revealed he and his daughter's mother lived separately for a few months before she died. While living separately, the couple was trying to rebuild their friendship, and Armando's wife worked on her anger issues. Armando, who wants a baby with Kenneth, added (via @90dayfiance_rus), "During the divorce proceedings and on the evening of her passing a disagreement took place over finances and I thought it would be best to leave the situation and return back to my home."
When Armando was driving back to his house, his ex-wife hit his car from behind. He told 90 Day Fiancé viewers, "I was shocked when I was suddenly struck from behind and then was hit again." Before he understood what was happening, his ex-wife's car flipped, and she died on the spot. Armando revealed it was a very tragic incident for him, his daughter, and the whole family. The family lost Armando's partner and their unborn child. While the 90 Day Fiancé star is grieving this loss, he asked for empathy from his fans.
Kenneth and Armando's story shows that being gay in Mexico isn't easy. He had to go through very tough times before finally getting into a healthy relationship with Kenneth. It is good to see that his mother and sister have finally accepted his sexuality and are ready to be with him on his wedding day. However, his father is still not comfortable attending his son's wedding. Armando Sr. recently told his son that he wouldn't be there to celebrate his special day. 90 Day Fiancé fans can just hope that Armando's father would change his mind.
