Dwayne Johnson has revealed the very first scene that he shot for Black Adam. Based on the powerful supervillain in the DC Comics, Black Adam serves as Johnson's entry to the DCEU. The upcoming film introduces the ancient Egyptian antihero who is out for redemption and revenge after being imprisoned for 5,000 years. It also introduces a new set of DC heroes who are part of the Justice Society of America. These include Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, and Sarah Shahi as Isis. The film is set to hit theaters on July 29, 2022.
Johnson has been attached to the role since the development of the first Shazam movie, but it was decided that the character deserved a solo outing. Since filming began in April this year, the wrestler-turned-actor has constantly drummed up excitement for the film and documented much of his training for the epic role. This weekend, anticipation heightened as Black Adam's first teaser trailer was unveiled at the DC FanDome 2021. The short clip showed Johnson as the titular antihero who, despite wearing a hooded cloak, looked totally menacing.
In a new tweet, Johnson revealed that the trailer shown at the recent DC FanDome event was the very first scene he shot for Black Adam. According to the 49-year-old actor, the part where Black Adam electrocutes a man who was after him was the first take he did on the set of the upcoming movie. Johnson added that this powerful moment was a turning point for him. Read his tweet below:

Johnson enjoyed watching his fans' reaction upon seeing the new teaser especially when some of Black Adam's powers are revealed. Other than his super strength, the antihero apparently has bullet immunity, lightning devastation, and flight. Aside from his abilities, Black Adam's origin is expected to be explored in the movie. The action star also emphasized that once the movie is released, "the hierarchy of power" in the entire DC universe will never be the same.
Black Adam's recently dropped teaser trailer gave fans the perfect first glimpse at the mysterious supervillain. Without giving away any major spoilers, it piqued viewers' interest and left them wanting more. Fans can expect more surprises and big reveals in the coming days, including a closer look at the character's costume and how the other JSA heroes will fit into the story. While it's still nearly a year before Black Adam hits theaters, it's certainly meant to shake things up in the DCEU just as Johnson promised.
