A player of Animal Crossing: New Horizons has painstakingly recreated every single character from the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster within the island life simulation game. The cute crossover gives over 80 gaming icons an Animal Crossing spin, including Mario, Pikachu, Princess Zelda, and even Banjo-Kazooie.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons includes a number of design tools and suites players can use to create their own designs and patterns, whether for decorating their island or to create unique outfits for their player character. These creations can be shared online with the in-game Design App and Kiosk, allowing users from around the world to download and use others' content. As well as being able to design custom looks, Nintendo previously introduced an official AC and Super Mario collaboration, including outfits from the Mushroom Kingdom, decorative items such as 1-Up Mushrooms, and even functional Super Mario warp pipes which help players navigate their islands.
Nintendo fan DJ-Dez has shared their completed roster of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fighters reimagined in Animal Crossing. The user originally started their project in 2020, before some of the DLC Fighters Passes were introduced to Smash. Now that the final Smash Bros. fighter has been revealed, DJ-Dex has managed to complete their project with Kingdom Hearts' Sora. The character designs might look a little less intimidating than their real Smash counterparts, but the result is an adorable - and impressive - labor of love. Along with some of the more simple designs, such as Steve from Minecraft, the creator's clever use of in-game items has brought even the likes of Yoshi and Donkey Kong to life, despite the limitations of Animal Crossing.

The creator has gone one step further, not only creating costumes for themselves, but also for anyone else who might want to cosplay as their favorite Super Smash Bros. character. Animal Crossing players can browse DJ-Dez's own take on the Fighters Pass Volume 2, and save costumes including Min Min, Steve from Minecraft, Sephiroth, Pyra/Mythra, Kazuya, and Sora. This can be done by visiting the in-game design app and searching for the user's Creator ID: MA-3790-6501-6469.
The Redditor might soon be able to make their creations even more realistic thanks to the upcoming Animal Crossing update. A host of exciting new content is coming to the game this November 5 in what's the largest AC update since the game's release. As well as new and expanded features such as cooking and farming in Animal Crossing, smaller changes including the ability to wear patterns used for customizing will also come into play, which should come in handy for those with a flair for fashion.
